The butterfly exhibit at the Desert Botanical Garden is a popular destination for school groups, out-of-town visitors, and locals alike. Visitors to the Marshall Butterfly Pavilion can expect to see hundreds of butterflies housed in a spacious 36-by-80-foot flight enclosed lush garden that recreates a habitat that is most appealing to butterflies.
When is the the Butterfly Exhibit?
Spring 2008:March 1 through May 11. Hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Fall 2008:
October 4 through November 16. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

In the spring, butterflies are added to the exhibit every week. As Phoenix gets warmer, there will be more and more butterflies. You'll probably see the most butterflies in April, but visiting any time during the exhibit's annual spring schedule is lovely. In the fall, you'll be seeing only Monarch butterflies.
